The Disha height adjustable, stand model BP Apparatus is a type of sphygmomanometer (blood pressure measuring device) mounted on a mobile stand. It's primarily designed for use in hospitals and clinics to allow healthcare professionals to easily move the equipment and adjust the height for comfortable and accurate readings for various patients.

Disha Stand Model BP Apparatus, Height Adjustable

    • To accurately measure a patient's blood pressure in a clinical setting.

    • The stand mobility (with caster wheels) allows it to be easily moved to a patient's bedside or different examination rooms.

    • The height-adjustable pillar/pole ensures the sphygmomanometer's display can be set at the eye level of the healthcare professional or at the level of the patient's heart (depending on the type of BP apparatus mounted) for proper technique and reading.

    • Position the Stand: Roll the stand close to the patient.

    • Adjust Height: Use the height adjustment mechanism (usually a lock/sleeve on the pole) to set the display at a comfortable reading height, ideally ensuring the center of the cuff is at the level of the patient's heart.

    • Prepare the Patient: Have the patient seated or lying down, with their arm supported at heart level.

    • Apply the Cuff: Wrap the cuff securely around the patient's upper arm, following standard blood pressure measurement procedures.

    • Take the Reading:

      • Manual (Mercurial or Aneroid): Inflate the cuff using the bulb to a pressure significantly higher than the expected systolic pressure. Slowly release the air using the valve while listening with a stethoscope (not part of the stand itself, but necessary for manual BP) to determine the systolic and diastolic pressures.

      • Digital: Follow the specific instructions for inflation/deflation and reading on the digital monitor.

    • Store the Equipment: Once finished, release all air from the cuff, disconnect, and place the cuff and bulb back in the storage basket (if available) and move the stand aside.
